Our founder, Hope Johnson was inspired to create this Blessed Perfume blend when her mom expressed an interest in using essential oils in place of mall perfume. Hope researched the common natural and synthetic aroma notes used in popular mall perfumes, and then the plant spirits who wanted to play in this experiment quickly began communicating with her.
After each essential oil was introduced, Hope would inhale the Blessed Perfume blend and immediately the next addition would become known to her. Hope felt curious, playful and inspired as each unique aroma was added to the mix, not knowing (or minding) how it would ultimately turn out.
Once the 24 essential oils had a week to meld together, Hope doubled the quantity with Schisandra, making the Blessed Perfume blend 50% Schisandra. In this case, Hope used Schisandra for it’s fatty properties to help affix the blend to the skin and also for it’s sweet & sour notes. (Schisandra is an essential oil Co2 Extract that can act as a carrier oil)
When the blend was complete, there was no question about it. Hope sent it to her mother, who has been using it ever since. Hope also uses Blessed Perfume regularly as her personal scent.
